Day 12 of the Mindful Writing Challenge. My 11th Small Stone:
Boys-Boys
Pop and the boys stay up late
To keep me company as I scribe away
But really, they are watching a film
Action-packed, what else? The title escapes me
A Boys-Boys affair

I appreciate your patience with me as I catch up on your blogs. Thanks a million! Shalom
Perfect! Bet it had loads of car chases in it
You bet! The racket is driving me up the wall.
Good-times…
Rosy, this is rare since most of the time, either the boys go to bed early or pop sleeps early
Good times no doubt… I can never understand those action movies lol… Guess its why I am a girl
Me too, What at all do they find exciting in all these macho-ism?
Loved the poem, in my home it is between toddler cartoons, spots channel or news. I find myself writing and tuning out the noise but I wonder if it somehow makes it into my writing. You gave me the idea to become mindful of my own environment and write my own “boys-boys” except it will be “little girl-daddy” or “sports-cartoons” or something like that
Sometimes I wish for a girl to tone down all the boisterousness. But I wouldn’t have it any other way.
.
Have you ever noticed its the presence of company that is so comfortable even in the mist of the loudness. Ha!
Yes, you are right Marie
Very nice. I have three boys, too. 12, 17 and 57. Boys-boys.

Laughing hard here, Alice

Yay
I love a good action movie and probably would’ve stopped writing to watch. Lol.
Not me, CC.
Hope you are doing good
haha it works for all of you
I guess it did, Gilly.
I only watch news at night if i have to and enjoy my day, but the car radio cannot be stopped! My colleagues at work cannot be stopped! They keep me informed
Good thoughts Celestine!
LOL! Thank you, Aparna. Glad for your support, always.
A boys-boys affair. Well described.
Thank you
Funny… Don’t they call the servants boy-boy too?
Oh yes they do, Elizabeth. But the latest slag around Ghana is ‘Boyz-boyz’ to signify anything masculine or relating to all men/boys.
ha ha! i love action movies
Yikes!
