Mirage

She breezed
Through my heart
Leaving me reeling
From her aura

A magnet
Of sweet decadence
It had me hooked
Complete
Lips to lips, Body to body,
No space for another
Just the two of us.

We danced
Primitive
In our desire
Beating tattoos
Of love
In naked abandon

And then
Just as suddenly
Like a fleeting mirage
She was no more
Only an illusion
As she breezed out

I flailed, I wailed,
My despair insane
Wisps of her essence
Cling to my consciousness.
Waking and fading
It was only a dream
