My response to this week’s Haiku Heights Prompt, Tree, is with a heavy heart. My father, who had been ill with prostate cancer for about a month or so now, passed away only this Friday 16th November at 3.00 pm. I dedicate this Haiku to his memory, even as I promise my dear friends out there for a detailed post later.

He takes his last breath

As the Oak drops its dead leaves

Sleep on, dear Daddy
