Day 23 of Mindful Writing Challenge. My 20th stone.
Rain
I spoke too soon yesterday. For the sunshine that peeped though the haze and warmed my heart gathered clouds by eventide. And soon the clouds, too angry to take heed of the unusualness of the moment, teared up and spilled over as rain, oh copious rain that washed away the grime and abated the dust. This morning, everywhere has been wiped clean And we are breathing fresh air.Copyright © Celestine Nudanu

Rain, so early this year! It’s been on it since sunday here…
Yes oo! And from the look of things it might continue. Harmattan rain 🙂
Very lovely 🙂
Thank you, LL. Grateful for the support 🙂

I can almost smell the clean. Love that after-rain scent.
Me too…
So do I, gals. Quite aromatic 🙂
This stone is as fresh as the fresh air you mentioned.
Thank you, Green Speck. 🙂 Love your comment 🙂
I will take the rain over this icy cold lol. Great job
I agree there, Boomie. 🙂 Thanks. Never been in snow so I can’t even begin to imagine what you guys are going through.
Harmattan rain. What a lovely name for rain. Another lovely stone. Thanks. I’m breathing better with your dust washed down.
That is nice to hear, Alice. It’s rare to see rain during this season Harmattan, but I guess these days anything is possible. Incidentally, there is a novel by that title, ‘Harmattan Rain’ by a female Ghanaian writer, Aisha Haruna Atta. You could look it up on Amazon. 🙂 It is good.
It must be the rain heading here that’s suppose to be snow. 🙂 Well writing my friend.
Perhaps. At least I hope so 🙂 Thanks, Kim. 🙂
That lovely feeling is described really well 🙂
Thank you, Gilly 🙂
simply excellent!
Oh thank you, Ana. It’s been a while 🙂
Very refreshing. Well done.
Thanks a million, Chantel. Hope you are doing well 🙂

Perfect!!!!!
Thank you 🙂
I must agree that nothing seems as bright and clean, free of grime, as the morning after a rain, especially a copius one.
Tim
Right you are, Tim 🙂 You know, we are still enjoying the freshness of everything 🙂 Many thanks
No sun. But – sounds like a refreshing rain!
