Now that is one delightful dance Celestine 🙂 Fireflies do light up our imaginations.
Thanks, Reshma. I used to see a lot of them around when I was growing up but now they are gone. I’m sure to see some in the country side though. 🙂
you’ve beautifully captured the essence of fireflies. I really enjoyed this Haiku

Great haiku of hope!
Thank you so much, ma’am
Some of your haikus make me hum in appreciation. This is one of them. Fireflies are my favorite insects. I wish I knew what they looked like in the light of day.
Me too. I would love to see them in day time. They used to be around a lot when I was growing up. Now I don’t see them anymore. 🙂
Beautiful sight and awesome!!
Thank you, Nanka
Sumptuous, this is a night that I could sink into forever.
Ow, thanks, James. 🙂 A night made for love, for sure 🙂
I like the alliteration of agog and aglow!

a firefly is always a visual delight.
Too true. I used to love watching them in the night when I was growing up. Alas, I don’t see them anymore now
I’m sure the meadow must be as entranced with the flashing fireflies as I am!
Fireflies with No Lights
Oh MMT, you’ve made my day 🙂
I am lucky to see this dance most nights during the summer.
Lovely haiku.
Unfortunately I don’t see the dance anymore. When I was growing up fireflies were everywhere. I hate to think that they are extinct now.
still here… come visit south western, Pennslyvania.
I will, one fine day soon 🙂
Summer is firefly or lightning bug season 🙂
You are welcome any time!
Whao!!
