Carpe Diem Prompt: Affection.
Every morning, before my sons depart for school they kiss me goodbye. No matter how stressed I am or how much I yell at them to hurry up, while their father honks the horn in irritation, they never forget to place tiny lips against my cheeks 🙂 It is a routine that gives me much joy and pride 🙂
Affection
warm lips against cheeks
as the boys breeze out for school
my cup runs over

Perfect as always 😉
Ow, thank you so much, Roxi 🙂
Splendid friend! I love this, my children do the same! That’s the joy of motherhood!
Yes indeed, Seyi. And you know, I never taught them that. I never had that with my mother and so I am not the outwardly affectionate type. So it really baffles me how they developed that beautiful habit. 🙂
I perfectly understand, you know African mothers don’t show such outward affections, the same with my mum, she an Amazon of a woman. But kids of today have a mind of their own!
Beautiful!!
Thanks, Marie
A typical morning in many homes – but nothing typical or ordinary about those little hugs and quick pecks on the cheeks 🙂
You are right, Eric. We could have the wildest argument especially the middle one and I and the next moment he is all over me with pecks 🙂
How sweet 🙂
Thanks 🙂
love it!
Thank you, Ana
Motherly comfort, ‘my cup runneth over’. yes. Celestine! Nicely!
