Haiku for Recuerda Mi Corazon. I woke up to light drizzle that is characteristic of our weather pattern here especially around August-September. This is what my morning walk produced:

Dear butterflies…
I haven’t seen too many this summer.
I am afraid the are becoming homeless.

much love…
Thank you so much, Gillena. I love butterflies too. You have a lovey weekend!
Thanks Lisa. They flutter about every now and then over here 🙂
Your haiku evokes many feelings in me… I can almost feel the drizzle upon my face and see the butterfly in that moment before everything changes…
Ow, Lea, thanks you for your fine words!
A Very ‘yin yang’ message in your beautiful haiku ~ carol, xo
Thank you carol, for the nice comment!
Butterfly wings must get heavy in a drizzle.
The may even fall off!
Thank you for taking me on your morning walk. Our butterflies are disappearing so I’m glad there are some where you are!
Occasionally you do come across a few. Thanks for coming by.
I hope the butterflies are safe in your warm Ghanaian rain.
He he he! 🙂 These days the weather here is so unpredictable. After the drizzles of a few days ago, it rained so hard yesterday and then just as suddenly it stopped, with the weather so clear. Today, it is slightly fuzzy.
Oh – I’ll take the homeless butterfly in 🙂
I know you would, you lovely soul 🙂
Did you know most Butterflies have the life span of a week? They are so beautiful, just like your writings!
Thank you so much, Marie
I enjoy the variations very much. I think it’s something many can relate to – multiple poems from a single inspiration. —–Chagall
Thank you Chagall
I suspect the butterfly has a home in your heart.
It sure does 🙂
Let all butterflies everywhere glisten, glisten, glisten!
Spilling Lantern Light
Ha ha ha! Mark, they will glisten forever!
your morning walk has brighten my moment!
I’m glad to hear that, Rebbecca. Thank you!
happy you took us walking today. 🙂
Thanks, Sunshine. Glad you came along. 🙂
best kind of walking…without lifting my feet and straining my poor body. 🙂
