Done for Recuerda Mi Corazon and also for Carpe Diem prompt, Raindrops. Easter approaches; the rains are letting on over here and these haiku are in honour!

3

Hosanna
the final one is best!
Thanks so much Trisha 🙂 I like that one myself 🙂
I like this line “raindrops fall as tears”. I may not understand poetry well but that’s a nice one.
Thank you so Melinda. 🙂 I likened raindrops to tears to imply the tears Christians shed on the death of Christ at Easter.
Perfect for the Easter season.
Thanks so much Nana. Are you going to be in Kwahu this Easter? 🙂
Hosanna!
Hosanna in the highest! 🙂
Rain! sweet sweet rain!
🙂 Yes!
Love the raindrops imagery!

Thanks so much Gemma.
May the sun shine on your Easter!!
Amen! Fortunately, yesterday was bright enough for the kids to have a lovely Hosanna march around town!
Oh it’s still hot and dry here, the rain is just teasing showers, before you hear it it’s over
Have a nice Friday
Much love…
It’s hot today! Hopefully no rain until the Easter but i doubt it.
Oh dear! Have to rewrite my comment, it should read – before you hear it, it’s over
Much love…
Never mind. I got it right , 🙂 Have a lovely week Gillena.
The Day nears … when it will pour Deliverance!

Awesome Haikus, my dear.
Perfectly matching the season and the times we are in.
Raindrops have been having their fun with the approaching Easter…
Lovely post as always!
Thank you so much Teecee. I don’t know about Nigeria but normally on Good Fridays, the clouds darken terribly sand it pours down a thunderstorm!
Raindrops are musical 🙂

Refreshing West African rain – wonderful!
Thank you Gilly. We’re expecting some before the Easter.
I like the image of the raindrops as a countdown to Easter.
No Pattering of Raindrops
Thanks MMT. It normally rains here when it’s getting to Easter especially on Good Friday.
All lovely ones!

hosanna in the falling rain.
a precious honoring.
Yes indeed 🙂 Thank you Rebecca!

Poignant collection leading up to the celebration of Easter.
Could you tell me more about Recuerda Mi Corazon … is there a weekly theme associated with it? I have looked several times, but cannot discern if there is. Thank you!
Thank you Becca.
You’re right. There is no weekly theme associated with Haiku My Heart. Participants can write on any thing at all straight from the heart. Though I must say that Recuerda Mi Corazon is mainly a blog of Catholic themes, on Fridays we write on any theme that catches our fancy.
it would be good to have you there, Becca. 🙂
Thank you for the explanation — I often wondered — I have seen the Blessed Mother frequently, and on those days, I didn’t know if the submitted had to include and/or be about her and Christ. Have a blessed day! 😀
You’re very welcome Becca. You have a lovely day! 🙂
Will nominate you for ghostwriting a Carpe Diem post in May…hope you don’t mind….!
Hamish darling how could you do this to me? What on earth am I going to write on now? Please, I beg, tell Kristjaan that I’m declining ‘cos he has already booked me. 🙂
I’ll help help, don’t you worry!
But I’m worried. You say you will help me all the time and you don’t.
I know but you must still believe me…!
You’re asking a lot now dear friend 🙂
Of course!
Just tell me what topic you’d like. Then I’ll do some research. I think you should do a piece about Ghanaian literature, or the wonderful Ghanaian haiku. It will take 5 minutes.
Well I don’t know if there’s Ghanaian haiku though I know of a couple of people who write haiku here. But I just had a bright idea about an aspect of our culture. Will email you soon with it and you had better work fast on it to add photos,my dear.
I’ll add photos and ideas…but who was that wonderful haiku poet you sent me a link of some time ago. You could…MUST include some of his haiku!
Don’t worry, I’ll add them by this time next year!
You made me laugh so much, hope you’re not too angry!
How can I be angry with you for long? Thanks, I’ll add some of his haiku. I’m in awe of his work you know. He is Nana Fredua.
Now, what do you mean you’ll add by this time next year? I’m sending you the stuff next week after the Easter break!!
Nice trio on raindrops Celestine. I understand that you would like to be ghost-writer for Carpe Diem next month. Well you are invited please let me know if you will be Ghost-Writer in week 19 (May 5th – May 9th)
Thank you so much, Kristjaan. Well, since my dear friend Managua nominated me what else can I say than to accept graciously 🙂 I’ll do well to email the content to you beofre the date. Thanks so much 🙂
I am happy Celestine that you will be one of the ghost-writers of May. Looking forward to your post.
Thanks Kristjaan. Looking forward to it too. 🙂
Wish you luck and inspiration for this ‘ghost’-post.
