Joy
my joy un-fettered
heart flutters in abandon
above snarling waves
but wait, I shall not drown.
for my praise is magnified
by echoes of gratitude

my halleluyah
soars above buffeting tides
pummeling currents
I refuse to be sucked in
I’m graced to be a victress
