Done for Recuerda Mi Corazon and also for Carpe Diem Haiku Shuukan prompt, Festival.
The Aurora Borealis, also known as the Northern Lights have had a number of names throughout history. The Cree call this phenomenon the “Dance of the Spirits”.

I appreciate your patience with me as I catch up on your blogs. Thanks a million! Shalom
Ribbons of colour. Reminds me of a song. Lovely.
Thank you Kiru. It’s always good to see you here 🙂
If I ever get to see the lights I’ll remember your haiku!
Ow, thanks. You will, inshallah!
What a beautiful image you conjure with your dancing haiku!
Ow, thanks Lea 🙂
i have only seen these once as a wee girl, or was it a dream?
I’m sure not, Lenorita. Yesterday on the way home from work ( around 7.00 pm) I saw a shooting star, though I don’t recall ever seeing an Aurora Borealis. The kids were so excited. 🙂
I think I could use a little spirit dance to lift my spirits! 😉
I’ll gladly dance with you! 🙂
I love this haiku. My mind envisions a painting. Spiritual.
Thank you Judie. Yes, it’s quite spiritual now that I think of it 🙂

I am going to try and catch up on house, yard work and visits – this week has been filled with ‘grandchildren’ 🙂
WOW! Celestine this is a wonderful haiku … so full coloured and sensative in it’s beauty. I love to use this haiku for our Tan Renga Challenge episode of 30th May if that’s oke?
Oh Kristjaan! What a lovely honour. You should see me now, broad smiles on my face. YES! Please go ahead. I have no objection. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! 🙂
