Done for Carpe Diem Tan Renga challenge. And also for Recuerda Mi Corazon. We are to complete Shoha’s (1727-1772) haiku below with our own inspiration two of lines (preferably of 7-7 syllable each)
at the wagon’s approach,
out from the grass
flies the butterfly
Mine
dew droplets glitter on wings
drizzle sprays the morning walk
Tan Renga
at the wagon’s approach
out from the grass
flies the butterfly
dew droplets glitter on wings
drizzle sprays the morning walk
That’s really lovely. I can see it in my mind’s eye and feel the drizzle. I don’t think I could get too involved with this Japanese poetry. It is so beautiful, and makes me have to think! 🙂
Oh Judie, thanks so much. But haiku is quite simple really. And But you know what? I’m still learning everyday; not perfect yet so I guess that can be somewhat daunting but a challenge nevertheless. 🙂
So beautifully painted, but richly sensual too
Managua dear, thanks so much. 🙂
It’s the drizzle that does it! 😉
Exactly! 🙂
All wonderfully created completion to the haiku ~
Thank you Carol
Nothing like the beauty of a butterfly in the morning.

Good to see you again Celestine … and what a beauty of a Tan Renga you have created by composing these two line to the haiku by Shoha. Thanks for sharing!
