so true.
Thank you my friend.
This is especially poignant with the photo. Lovely work.
Many thanks, dear. 🙂
🙂
And many maybe that they don’t want exposed or told. One never knows what hides in the roots of one’s family tree.
You’re so right Joyce, Gilly 🙂
Too true, Joyce. In the olden days here, due diligence was done on the family that one married into, in order to avoid any hidden secrets like madness, infertility, wickedness and ill luck since there was (is) the belief that such traits run in families.
Thanks for the added bit of info on the culture there, Celestine. It is always interesting and informative to learn the culture and ways of other countries to better understand it and its people.
You are welcome, Joyce. I dare say this is still done even now though Christianity and modernity have tone down the practice. 🙂
Oh it’s lovely to see you using the photo again, and so very well too x:-)x
Thank you Gilly. Sometimes, I don’t get inspired and the few just refuse to flow. 🙂
Beautifully captured with a touch of éclat. I love it!
Ow thanks my bro. 🙂
So beautiful in such short words–well-done, Celestine.
Jael, thanks.
Most welcome!
Very nicely dome! I like the photo you chose to go with it.
Delores, thank you.
Some scars are treasures. Little Miss got a Tiger Stripe on her nose (raking boo-boo) and I guess the way my son handled it… she is proud to own it 😉
The joke in our family is that ‘it will heal by the time she’s married’ – in a month or less it will not be there or remembered – I think.
Still working on the booklets… Hopefully this weekend.
Laughing so hard at this Jules. 🙂
Oh Celestine that is simply brilliant, magical. I am desperately trying to catch up on reading and was pressing Like after reading haiku, but this one is so good I need to comment – not that I am surprised it is good.
Thank you so much my friend. It’s always good to see you here. 🙂
I love that you added this photo…there are so many meanings to your beautiful haiku…I am just reading this prompt and find the responses so rich!! Bravo, Celestine!
Thanks so much, Oliana. 🙂
This is what I would call a great haiku Celestine … is it yugen style … I think so for sure.
Much appreciated, Krtisjaan
Excellent!
Thank you Georgia. 🙂
