Cool with a fear anticipatory theme
Thanks .I had the bats that migrate across the country to settle on the trees at 37 Hospital in mind. 🙂
savannah skies-ahhh the peace of this!
Yes!
I would love to see this beauty that you’ve sketched for us here in your haiku… I think bats are amazing and can imagine their silhouette against this Savannah sky….
Lea, the bats described here actually migrate in hoards or droves from somewhere in the hinterlands in my country all the way down to the city, perching on no other trees than those built around a military hospital. 🙂
The have defied all attempts to get rid of them. Not even the final solution has worked. They keep migrating on a daily basis and return at night only to come back at dawn the next day. 🙂
Celestine, I did not know that bats migrate. Thank you for this piece of information about one of nature’s creatures, and even presented in poetic form. Love it!
You are so welcome Judie. 🙂 The pleasure is all mine. Bats have been migrating from somewhere unknown right down to the city where I live for years, even before I was born to settle on trees planted to beautify a major hospital in the city. 🙂
Bats are such an important part of natures eco system. Thank you for honoring them.
My pleasure, Gemma.
wanderlust, and vastness nice themes here
Have a good weekend

Thanks Gillena.
Savannah skies! Wow you have taken me there through haiku hopping, thanks.x
My pleasure, Susan.
What an amazing sight that must be, thanks for the lovely image you’ve created 🙂
Gilly, the bats actually migrate from a far way place in the country to settle on massive trees at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra.
The noise they make and the level of droppings compelled the authorities to try on several occasion to get rid of them Not even the final solution worked They are still migrating on daily basis to settle on the trees early dawn and them move back en-mass in the evening. 🙂
amazing!
Indeed Trisha, the phenomenon is nothing short of amazing. 🙂
Great imagery, Celestine!
Thanks Tiny. 🙂
your words conjure such a wide open picture!
Freya, thanks.
It’s always a pleasure to read your poems, Celestine. Love & inspiration.
Many thanks Noora. Sending you love and hugs . 🙂
I’d like to see a few more bats around here. There is a nasty bat virus going around. I hope it hasn’t gotten to you bats.
I doubt it, Jules. These bats have been operating in my country for years. I’m yet to hear of any such virus affecting them. If they are, they probably fall out of the hordes as they migrate daily from wherever they come from. 🙂

Ah, this seems to be concentrated in North America.
Wow, thanks for sharing, Jules. 🙂
If our bats go batty we may need some of yours 🙂
LOL. At your service, Jules. 🙂
I could watch those skies forever…you even gave bats an intriguing image!
Oh Cheryl Lynn, you made me laugh 🙂
