Every time there is an eclipse, the clouds roll in.
Too true. 🙂
I so love watching the sun and moon eclipses… and when nature pulls her curtain of clouds instead… then I need your poetry to remind me that it happened!
How lovely, Lea. 🙂
Lol. I didn’t even wake up to view it. It’s been cloudy here for a very long time.
How I was so disappointed!
Eclipses are still amazing to watch even though I’ve seen more than a few. Perhaps the rain will wait so that you can view the eclipse.
I never saw it, Nonnie. was so disappointed. 🙂
Big disappointment!!! Been there!!! ❤
Yeah. I could have kicked the rain clouds 🙂
oh my so lovely Celestine.
Thank you Judie. 🙂
No eclipse for you then, but even the lack inspired you beautifully.
Oh well… 🙂
I love your poem… a bit sad but yet peaceful. Have a great weekend, hug from the Netherlands!
Hugs back from Ghana, Marit. 🙂
Pity we can’t arrange the weather for these events but that’s nature for us.
You can say that again… 🙂
Could you send some of those rainclouds our way, please? 😉
Gladly. At least my arthritis will have some relief. 🙂
many a good eclipse draped in clouds!
hope you had a perfect glimpse.
Unfortunately, not at all 🙂
Feel the rain. 🙂
LOL! 🙂 Good for you 🙂
Is it a mirage then??? Lol!
More like it I tell you 🙂
I have seen a lunar eclipse once… but always always clouds are there.
The clouds certainly put me off. And not single eclipse did I see 🙂
same story everywhere! lunar eclipses can be seen but solar??? that is one rare vision! it always gets cloudy!
You said it all Trisha 🙂
So often when there is a special celestial event – it gets cloud covered.
I remember about 20 years ago – I was in the right place at the right sky to see the beauty of the Milky Way.
How wonderful. I would love to see the Milky Way in my life time before my maker calls me. 🙂

🙂
I can recognize the constellation of Orion – but Orion is in the Milky Way. If you can see the Milky Way clearly you won’t be able to find Orion because all of the other stars are so bright. And I guess when I do see Orion…while the sky is dark enough for that…it is still too light for the Milky Way. I hope that makes sense. Maybe though it is also related to the time of year and where the Orion (the hunter) is located in the sky).
Thank you for the link, Jules. 🙂
What are some of your constellations. I bet those stories would make some fine haiku!
LOL, Jules. Your words made me laugh loud. Will think about that. 🙂
It is interesting how the same stars seen by different people can have so many different stories. Somewhere I have a fanciful Elfje series that might make a cute children’s book…one day.
w how lovely. Simply go ahead my dear friend. Take the plunge. See how I just went ahead with my haiku publication. I just know that children’s book will be a huge success. 🙂
