To be carried on jasmine… poignant and beautiful Celestine.
Lea, thank you, as always. 🙂
No better fragrance to accompany one’s move from this life to another.
Yep! 🙂
The fragrance of jasmine is perhaps, symbolic to celebrate a life and the beauty of final rest. An affecting piece, Celestine.
Khaya, thank you so much. 🙂 I don’t think I can ever forget Doris. 🙂
The scent of jasmine in the air while saying goodbye to a loved one… you captured it beautifully. Bittersweet haiku. Big hug from Holland
Marit, thanks a million. 🙂
The scent of jasmine will always bring Dollita to your memory.
Yes indeed. She will always be in my memory. 🙂
What a gift this haiku is ~ beyond words ~

Yes indeed, Gillena. Have a blessed weekend. 🙂
May your friend rest in peace. There are many traditions to honor those whom we wish to remember.

Yes. She wanted to be cremated, and her family agreed. Actually she had said it while she was alive. And her husband carried out her wishes. Cremation is quite catching on here, for various reasons. Though it is associated with some religious sects, Christians are embracing it too these days. 🙂
jasmine on night breezes through summers open windows-
a cherished memory from my youth!
Beautiful memories, Rebecca. 🙂
A beautiful and melancholy tribute, it’s good to see you back on WP, my friend.
Thank you Ste J. It is good to be back. 🙂
So touching. The magic of aroma, the purveyor of many emotions.
Claire, thank you. 🙂
