Finally the Mindful Writing Challenge, has come to a glorious end today. It has been quite an uplifting task posting these Stones every day, although I am not too sure I was so mindful and observant of everyday things around me to write about. I must say that it has been also exhausting and quite glad it is over. 🙂 There I’ve said it!
But then I leave you with this simple Haiku to ponder over. God bless you all for bearing with me throughout the Stoney journey. 🙂 Your wonderful feedback and beautiful comments made a mark where it counted the most, my heart. 🙂

Today is Day 30 of Mindful Writing Challenge, and the last but one day to the end of the Challenge. I missed three of the Stones but never felt inclined to catch up. So this happens to be my 27th stone.

More Rain
It rained so hard today, actually poured torrents. A wonderful thing and indeed so rare.
The common explanation is that of global warming, climatic change and such terms that only confuse the mind. All I know is that it hardly ever rains during Harmattan and so if the heavens have opened up and wept, who are am I not to bathe in the waters to sooth my fevered body and to enjoy the now coolness of my oven of a bedroom?
After all, I am refreshed enough and ensconced, penning another stone. 🙂

Old Age
Lots of patience and calm moments Topped with much tolerance To deal with old age In doing so, much warmth floats around And love takes root, spreads and is reciprocated Wisdom is gained Copyright © Celestine Nudanu 25/1/1324 Thursday Jan 2013

Rain
I spoke too soon yesterday. For the sunshine that peeped though the haze and warmed my heart gathered clouds by eventide. And soon the clouds, too angry to take heed of the unusualness of the moment, teared up and spilled over as rain, oh copious rain that washed away the grime and abated the dust. This morning, everywhere has been wiped clean And we are breathing fresh air.Copyright © Celestine Nudanu
