Bitterness, relationship

Join the party at Rajani’s with your own micro poem in the comments section or using Mister Linky. There are no rules – whatever the muse whispers!

I’m so sorry I couldn’t post or participate in Rajani’s fun for the past days. I attended a two-day Continental Colloquium for Pan-African Winters in Accra here. It is ending tonight with an Awards Dinner that I couldn’t be part of since I had to report at the office for an emergency. 🙂

Micropoetry Month

Does this resemble a tanka? 🙂

Burning

carrying you in my heart

is a weighty affair

if only I could off load you

light, paperweight

just like I drop my pants

Done for Carpe Diem

Inspired by Jane Reichhold’s tanka below:

oo old for new love
the moon rises each night
as I remember
the backseats of strange cars
it’s helpful light afterwards

Rising Moon

spreading iridescence

and confetti

autumn’s breath

over our entwined  bodies

Carpe Diem Challenge: “Ah! Those Cherry Blossoms”

22 Wednesday Jul 2015

Cherry blossoms, life cycle, love, Nature, romance, seasons, Spring

Done for Carpe Diem.

Today’s episode of Tokubetsudesu is to write a soliloquy no renga, where one poet creates a series of haiku (no more than six) for a given theme or hokku and then concludes it by connecting it in a full circle to the hokku.  Please visit Carpe Diem for more on this. I must add that this was quite a challenge in more ways than one. 🙂

puts a smile in my coffee

ah picture perfect

silver beads on pinkie buds

I am tickled pink

the sight of soft blooming spring

on a morning kissed by dew

3

blossoming cherries

scent weaves on gossamer wings

a first breath of spring

garlands adorning faint love

a reminder of rebirth

4

echoing kisses

resounding in soft petals

the coming of spring

a potpourri of colours

out in fiesta of love

5

ah, spring

 blooming of cherry blossoms

in the cycle of re-birth

falling plum petals

and a waltz frozen in time
