The Cherita was created by al li. I’ve fallen in love with this lovely poetry form. And for each working day I shall endeavour to post a cherita a day on my blog.

Basho, Cherry blossoms, longing, Nature, Relationships

Done for Haiku My Heart  and for Carpe Diem. The goal is to write an all new haiku inspired by Basho’s haiku below. The challenge is to use the words of the first line, ‘how long’.  🙂

Carpe Diem Challenge: “Ah! Those Cherry Blossoms”

Cherry blossoms, life cycle, love, Nature, romance, seasons, Spring

Done for Carpe Diem.

Today’s episode of Tokubetsudesu is to write a soliloquy no renga, where one poet creates a series of haiku (no more than six) for a given theme or hokku and then concludes it by connecting it in a full circle to the hokku.  Please visit Carpe Diem for more on this. I must add that this was quite a challenge in more ways than one. 🙂

I am tickled pink

scent weaves on gossamer wings

a first breath of spring

garlands adorning faint love

a reminder of rebirth

echoing kisses

resounding in soft petals

the coming of spring

a potpourri of colours

out in fiesta of love

ah, spring
