I have been away from Carpe Diem for a while now but I couldn’t resist when I saw the Challenge today. We are to write the third line to complete the following haiku by Kristjaan:

cicadas singing
in the last rays of light
 

complete haiku

cicadas singing

in the last rays of light

dying ecstasy
