Done for Carpe Diem. We are to complete the following haiku by Opie Houston with our own two lines of 7-7 syllables each.

oh, sweet october…
spare thy frost on yonder grapes
our sweet summer wine

sipping the last drops in bliss
warm against the winter’s freeze
