inOn Carpe Diem Tan Renga is to complete the following haiku by Buson with your own two lines of 7-7 syllables each. My first attempt at Tan renga so do treat me ‘gently’ 🙂
Buson’s haiku
the rainy season
a paper lantern in hand
I walk along the verandah
dispel the dancing shadows
as branches sway in the wind

I’ve been invited to join the Recuerda Mi Corazon (haiku my heart) team, wonderfully hosted by Rebecca Brooks.
While I have noted that it is summer in other parts of the world, we in Ghana have entered the rainy season and so my first post for Haiku My Heart is based on the season here. Please, enjoy 🙂
rain clouds
rainy clouds gather
sunlight scuttles for shelter
I wear a long gloom
