lenten rose

3-5-3-3-7-5

between death

and resurrection

the veil peels

 and darkness

fades to a gossamer thin

revealing the glow

of immortal bloom

his shroud a blossom in Spring

the tomb his victor

then hush, bleeding piece of dust

we rise, for He is risen.
