Are all of these available at the Legon bookshop? I have a bookshop here that I visit on the Victoria Island, Laterna books. I will check them later in the month for some of the titles here. I have not read most of them, apart those I read during literature courses in secondary school. The first one to get is Mofolo’s Chaka the Zulu. I just love historical novels.

Nana, even though I haven’t thoroughly checked out on the availability of these books, I am sure Legon Bookshop would have some of the classics (my recent visit there yielded some of them in both abridged and unabridged versions). EPP bookshop, Treasure Hunt (at Kisseiman, Legon-Achimota road) and the Book Trust are quite well stocked at affordable prices too.
I got Chaka the Zulu at EPP for ¢4.00. I’ve decided to gradually buy the books on this list and others, once every month at payday.
My problem is YA fiction/non-fiction for my boy who has completed his BECE and is bored at home. It seems we are in a fix getting some good lit in that area over here. Do check out the Laterna books and let me know. LOL!

Hello Celestine, I’ve been browsing around your blog and was delighted to discover this page. I like to read classic literature from around the world, and so I have ordered Chaka the Zulu to add to my collection. Thanks!

Hi LIsa, I am happy to see you here. Indeed, you would enjoy Chaka the Zulu, a non-fiction historical tale. I read it a long time ago and so this is a re-read for me. Thanks for stopping over.
