Carpe Diem’s Cinquain: Desire

Cinquain, desire, love

At Carpe Diem we are trying our hands at a Cinquain. At least for me it is my first. A bit nervous about this I am! 🙂 Below are the rules:
First line: a one-word subject or title.
Second line: two adjectives which describe the subject.
Third line: three verbs relating to the subject.
Fourth line: four words forming a phrase, sentence, or set of feelings relating to the subject.
Fifth line: one word which summarizes the poem or restates the subject.

The second and more traditional type is simpler and requires only that the pattern of syllables per line in the poem is 2, 4, 6, 8, 2. (In other words, the first line has two syllables, the second has four, etc.)

Desire

desire’s

dangerous glow

flickers to tantalise

I wade in the flow that is your

yearning

Ligo Haibun Challenge: Illusion

The prompts at Ligo Haibun this week are two words, Illusion and Ecstasy. My offering:

Illusion

PictureYou waltz into my heart leaving me reeling from your aura. A magnet of sweet decadence you have me hooked completely. Lips to lips, body to body, no space for another. Just the two of us.

We dance, primitive in our desire, beating tattoos of love in naked abandon. And then, just as suddenly, like a fleeting mirage, you are no more. I clasp the breeze that trail your departure, but your wild musk eludes me. I grasp at nothingness.

I flail, I wail, my despair insane. Wisps of your essence cling to my consciousness. Waking and fading. You are my illusion.

your fine musk
haunts my wild desires
I dream on

Poet At Play – I Belong, To You

” My gift to you is the gift of Belonging Award made by myself to remind all bloggers they do belong. That’s its purpose.”  (Penny of The Why About This)

This poem is inspired by the free gift above, from Penny of The Why About This. Do visit her blog to taste of her wonderful creativity.

I Belong, To You

My heart tingles
My breast leaps
For your caress
My body sings
In joyous
Reckless
Abandon,
As you play me
Tunes blending
Whispering harmonies
Creating
A lover’s yearning
In words
Coated in aphrodisiac.

Come, lover boy
I am hungry for your
Pulsating yet gentle
Thrust
Hungry for your
Searing lingering
Kisses
I want to taste
Deep
And inhale long,
That aromatic breath
It sends me giddy
With desire.

Come, lover boy,
I want to be
In your powerful
Enfolding, melting
Warmth,
I am sick
With longing
For that release
Only you
Can give.

My lover boy
I  belong
To you,
Completely
Totally
Absolutely

Do with me
As you will.
My love,
My all
For I belong
To your soul.

Lover boy
We belong

Reflections From The Heart – Lethal Chemistry

16 Wednesday May 2012

desire, Inferno, Lethal Chemistry

Lethal Chemistry

A streak of lightning
Slashed through my heart
Its searing heat
Burning my valves
Sweet pain rips through my guts
And I gasp for breath

A streak of lightning
Tore through my soul
Its blazing fires
Scorching my being
Potent in intensity
And weakened,  I swoon

Powerful electrical currents
Crackling, sizzling
The air that I breathe
Burning me
In an inferno of desire
As I strain to be one with you

I welcome this heat
Which is so irresistible
Let me quench it
I must satiate it
By yielding all
To this lethal chemistry.

Reflections From The Heart – Poet At Play (To Be Loved By You)

desire, To Be Loved By You

To Be Loved By You

Oh, that I could read
Your heart
And know to whom
It leaps

Oh, that I could reach
Your soul
And glimpse to whom
It cries out

Is it for me
whom you loved
desired
yearned
needed
Once
And fled in fright

Or is it she
whom
You pledged
So long ago
To love

We are but two
All desperate
For your love

Let me out, I pray
Out of my agony
To love you alone
And to be loved
By only you.
