Nothingness

take me now

on wings of craving

I burn red

plasma red

before I  deflate this shell

of gut nothingness

Cover Revealed

Hmm, I sigh

feeling this yearning

to breathe in

these fresh crisp

fulness of poetic prose

dancing before me

(1-2-3-4-1)

so

I slide

my fingers up

your spine feeling the

smoothness

(3-5-3-3-7-5)

your cover

revealed, alluring

pulls me in

to savour

each mesmerising word, as

I browse this bookshop

Still experimenting with the  Shardoma and Elfje, this is in honour of the over 230  girls abducted from a school in Chibok, Nigeria, by Islamist militants,  Boko Haram.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

(3-5-3-3-7-5)

above roofs

of those black clad eaves

we hear wails

of Rama

piercing through the golden skies

plea to a deaf God?

(1-2-3-4-1)

innocence

mutilated on

alter of brutality

for female breasts to

nurture

(3-5-3-3-7-5)

above sheaths

of dimming sunlight

we flounder

and ponder

the fate of the missing girls

just bring back our gems!

Done for Mindmiserymenagerie, BastetsShardorma photo prompt

We are to write the Shadorma or experiment using the Shardoma and the Elfje. (11 syllable or 11 words in 5 lines: 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 1). My experiment: Hope it makes sense! 🙂

Living Spring

(3-5-3-3-7-5)

dangle me

across the threshold

of your heart

the dampness

fizzling the glowing wicker

of what I hold dear

(1-2-3-4-1)

push

me into

this yawning darkness

spiced with herbs from

 Hades

(3-5-3-3-7-5)

tantalise

my dying taste buds

yearning for

that last kiss

then, probably I shall gasp

for that living spring

Full moon, romance, Shadorma, witchcraft

Done for Mindmiserymenagerie, BastetsShardorma photo prompt.

A full moon is often interpreted in the romantic sense, other times with something involving magic,  sometimes with evil or maybe just the wrong time to cut one’s hair or plant certain plants. Keeping in mind all the variations associated with the full moon here is my offering:

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Moon

you and I

on a moonlit night

the leaves sigh

your witchcraft

playing havoc with my will

impotent, I yield

scramble, Shadorma

Done for Mindmiserymenagerie, BastetsShardorma photo prompt#2.

The Shadorma is purported to be  Spanish, and composed of six non-rhyming lines (sestina or sextet) with a syllable pattern of  3-5-3-3-7-5. It can have as many stanzas as you like, just as long as each stanza follows the syllable pattern mentioned above.
