Sent is powerful. Have you ever seen the movie:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_(1996_film)
Each person remembers their best memories when the angel is around. 😉
I was weeding yesterday… and brought in…well an unwanted sent.
I have to clean off my shoes now. 🙂
readinpleasure said:
Oh no! I hate these scents that just follow one indoors. My boys bring such scents in every now and then from the football park or from just playing around the neighborhood. 🙂

Bake cookies 😉
I know some folks who burn scented candles or have electric potpourri pot.
And then there is that company who has those ‘plug-in’ things. And the different spray products. But I think the boys will just have to learn to do their own laundry…so you don’t have to 🙂
Having had boys… myself. I know that ode d’adolescence.

Boys boys boys! Thank God they do their own laundry every Saturday but oh, I have to do a lot of talking before they get to it. 🙂

Thank you Gilly. It can be quite intoxicating if you follow the sweetness. 🙂

Both are lovely. I’ve never heard of palm wine. But this makes me want to try some.
readinpleasure said:
LOL! 🙂
Palm-wine is tapped from the sap of the palm tree at certain temperatures. The juice or liquid or whatever is left to ferment for days and then it’s ready for consumption. Depending on the age or stamina of the palm, and of course the expertise of the tapper, the wine can either be sweet or sour.
It’s very much loved by the local folks here and used as the wine of choice at various traditional ceremonies. Quite intoxicating if you allow the sweetness to rule your senses. 🙂

The lingering scent of palm wine reminds me of the village scenes in Nollywood films.

Laughing so hard here, Stella. 🙂 How right you are. I can see the village elders now, gulping down volumes amidst raucous laughter! 😉
