All good things come to an end eventually and so it is with the Friday Fictionners hitherto hosted by Madison Woods. Today’s prompt kindly provided by Ron Pruitt is the last one that Madison would host at her website. She is passing the torch on to Rochelle Wisoff-Fields who has been an avid fan of the Fictioneers, to enable her focus more on her own writing. In Madison’s words Rochelle will be a great new leader of the pack and I don’t doubt that. I can only wish Madison the best.
Through the FF, I have been able to hone my writing; I can also say that I have more than enough themes and plots for short stories and/or full novels. Madison, you are one great lady, and I’m happy that though you are going away, you will still participate in the FF. Thank you Madison, from the bottom of my heart. 🙂
My 100 words offering is a poem, more like my rumblings.
Saying Goodbye
My wounded heart Cries out to you To stay For the pain Of your leaving Is like a vice Clamping the breath Out of me. My soul bleeds As I release you To fulfill your dream I held you back With myopic Tantrums My cloying love An albatross I refused to see The yearning in you To be unfettered You were A leashed creature Always bucking When the sun Smiled through Your tortured soul You broke free Your bus is revving And I say Goodbye With a bleeding Heart For that which Could have been But never was Copyright © Celestine Nudanu (19/10/12) ==============================================================I appreciate your patience with me as I catch up on your blogs. Thanks a million! Shalom. 🙂
