The photo is by kind permission of Gilly. A haiku, and a tanka. 🙂
Ancient Chimes
grim shades dare the light
blighting ancient chimes of joy
Herod makes his plans
2
shimmer of light dares
sullen graffiti of clouds
ancient chimes of joy
soar above the cathedral
on waves of halleluiah

amazing pair! who is Herod?
readinpleasure said:
Herod is a Biblical king in the New Testament who gave out an order to have the baby Jesus killed because he didn’t want anyone to be king and he feared that Jesus would be king over the Jews. 🙂
