Dear lovely friends, it has been a tough year all in all, with the pandemic raging everywhere. But God is good and He continues to be Sovereign. Glory be to His name. I pray the holidays find you well and keep you safe.

May the peace and joy of the Season reign in your homes, even as we usher in 2021.

Merry Christmas to you all and a Prosperous and Safe New year. Thank you so much for being part of my blogging journey. We are family now! 🙂

cottony

clouds afloat on blues

fluffy whites

seek my praise

and one with the firmament

I croon out this joy

Heeding Haiku With HA: Joy

Gratitude, joy, victory

Done for Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie – Heeding Haiku with HA. This week we are to carefully analyze an emotion within ourselves, attribute a word to it and then let it out in the nature of a haiku or tanka. This is a re-work of an earlier poem. 🙂

Joy

my joy  un-fettered

heart flutters in abandon

above snarling waves

but wait, I shall not drown.

for my  praise is magnified

by echoes of gratitude

 2

my halleluyah

soars above buffeting tides

pummeling currents

I refuse to be sucked in

I’m graced to be a victress

Ligo Haibun Challenge: Nature’s Kiss

16 Friday Aug 2013

joy, KISS, love, Nature

This week, the prompts at Ligo Haibun are the following quotes by Ingrid Bergman and Marilyn Monroe respectively: ‘A kiss is a lovely trick by nature to stop speech when words become superfluous’ and ‘ Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it’s better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring.’ I choose to go with Ingrid Bergman’s quote.

Nature’s Kiss

PictureIt’s a joy when Chris and I wake up every dawn to the beauty of the silvery dew drops glistening on the leaves and flowers in our yard. I’m always stunned gazing at the splendour of swaying colours in the cool breeze as they open up and glow under the kiss of the drops. Wordlessly, my husband then pulls me gently to him and kisses me ever so tenderly by the bedroom window, in celebration of such a wonderful gift from nature.

nature’s dawn kiss
mirrors our gratitude
no need for words
