Done for Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie – Heeding Haiku with HA. This week we are to look around, find the birds, make an eye-contact with them and let them gaze into us so that we can touch upon their wondrous beauty as well and then, write a haiku or tanka or both featuring them. Quite interesting I can hardly see myself going to a bird and letting it gaze into me. I’m pretty scared.
Love’s Wings
these stars in your eyes
as you look down from your perch
whisper to my soul
0
calming anxious fears
I close my eyes, take a leap
we glide over peaks
0
I fly without wings
holding dear the memory
of mesmeric eyes
revealing ancient secrets
we touch the sky on love’s wings

Stunning Celestine XD
Thank you Candice. It was a bit of a challenge since I’m still in the office and nowhere near a bird!
Ooh I really like it-very nice imagery!
Thanks so much 🙂
You’re very welcome ^^
“we touch the sky on love’s wings” This is my favorite line of these poems. Stunning and lovely.
Merci beaucoup, mon amie 🙂
Je vous en pries. 🙂
Celestine, this is beautiful. Just beautiful. As the Blackace said, the imagery is superbly drawn! 🙂
Ow, thanks a million George 🙂
Such a beautiful set… Amazing. You know what, I love making eye-contact with a pigeon… and its eyes seem to look within you and then sometimes when it nods, it appears to be like an understanding that has passed between us.. 🙂
You have a love affair with birds Hank. 🙂 Thanks for the lovely compliment 🙂
I really love the feeling of the second poem – beautiful and brave!
Thank you Jen.
As always wonderful. Imagine see from a bird view. I wrote about a bird today. 🙂
